blossom (peonies)

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
— Anais Nin

Spring is almost here
say aloud
and repeat
Spring is almost here
I am so over this cold weather

We're headed to see Dr. Glazier at MUSC today for a cat-scan and laser scan of BabyGirl's head
Keep your fingers crossed that there has been adequate improvement and we can schedule her second surgery.
She's doing incredibly well, by the way.
When we're in the moment of our day to day routine I forget that our baby has a problem.
Then someone at the grocery store asks us about her helmet or the sweet lady in the nursery at Church asks us why we wrote "please be extra careful with her head" on the instruction sheet.
And we have to explain
I am just so ready to have this behind us.
And did I mention her first tooth broke through on Wednesday?
Poor Baby

  1. peonies are my absolute favorite! hope goes well with your baby girl today.

  2. Oh spring how I love thee and need thee. If i have to bundle up to go outside one more time I am going to go insane! Come spring come!

  3. I will keep you and your precious baby girl in my prayers today. I hope everything turns out well.
I love spring, and I am so ready for it! Peonies are my fave flower, I just love them!

  4. Fingers crossed and prayers sent for your sweet Wells! Gorgeous pictures, they make me warm on a cold winters day.

  5. I adore peonies. I am saying a big prayer for your baby girl! The docs at MUSC are the best. Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Thanks for the prayers girls! They were very pleased with her progress but it's going to be a few more months before they can remove the springs. The radiologist was super impressed with how good she was during her scans. I was most pleased that she sat in her car seat and played with her sophie while I ate lunch at Five Loaves with some girlfriends.

Thanks for joining the conversation!
