missing the beach

June 3, 2011

I'm busy ignoring all of my friends status updates about the beach today by reminding myself that there are FIVE Targets in my immediate area
It's not working :(
Please remind me that most of y'all don't live at the beach either

  2. We miss the beach too. It's one of the hardest parts about living in Nashville for us. Just think you have your parents to help you now and a really amazing place to raise your sweet baby girl.

  4. I avoided facebook all weekend because all of my friends were at the beach. I am from Michigan but recently got married and moved to Pennsylvania. In Michigan there was a gorgeous great lake with a sandy beach out my door. Here there is nothing its torture! Having five targets is awesome though!

  5. Not at the beach!!!! Would not be caught dead in a bathing suit right now either! :) Wish I was going to be around tomorrow too! :( We could meet up at Keswick sometime, it would feel like you are away somewhere luxurious and not in the middle of VA!!!!?

  7. soooo funny you say this, becuase I say the same thing all the time! I want to live at the beach so badly, either a SC beach or an NC beach, but I don't... I live in Raleigh, NC and I am constantly telling myself well I have 4 Targets around me and there is none at the NC beaches, ha. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't, ha I keep saying I won't move down there until they build one...

Girl I am here to tell you that it is WAY more work than worth with children.....laying out in the sun with a cocktail enjoying the sun and breeze is no longer an option. Instead, you will be chasing a toddler down the beach or getting a sand exfoliation from your beach towel and if you do get 15 minutes to try and get an even tan, somehow that SPF 50 seems to make it's way onto your own skin...no matter how hard you try to rub it off. I actually get more jealous of everyone around me who gets to enjoy it when I AM there. TRUST ME......the older they are the easier:)
