Faux Fur Throw

September 25, 2012

So I've decided that for my thirties, fall is going to be my favorite season.
There is nothing like summer break when you're a kid and I spent my twenties in Charleston where Spring is King.  So for my thirties, I'm in Virginia where we get the best fall.  Cool mornings and evenings, warm days and chilly nights.  Changing leaves and cool breezes.  The neccesity to own lots of layers and blankets.  Translate this into my home, and this look is my jam.  I'm going to be purchasing a cozy throw to add to my favorite little spot at the end of the couch.  Last night I was curled up there reading my book and kept thinking about how much better it would be with a throw.
A fur one, to be exact.  Faux, of course.

So the first thing I did this morning, instead of my usual blog writing, was to scour the interwebs looking for my throw.  Ooops, I apologize to the early bird readers who missed my normal 7am roll-out.
Here are my top three finds.  I was surprised that the prices weren't quite as high as I was expecting.  The Pottery Barn throw was the most expensive at $129 but they have the most awesome gray color.  But the overstock might win me over with the lesser price tag plus free shipping.  And that white one looks mighty fine. What do you think?

  7. OK, I'm TOTALLY with you. It's so chilly here this mroning, I could barely bring myself to get out from under the covers. (only to find out the hubs also had the A/C down to 65... UM...hello?). As I'm drinking my coffee in my sweat shirt and pants, Im wishing I had something in my office. I want a fur throw too! I vote the RH one. Looks the most luxurious. Altho, I like that white one on Overstock.

  10. I LOVE my faux fur PB throw. I searached high & low and PB is hands down the softest and most well made. RH was not that soft nor made as well. I splurged and bought a cream pillow and throw. I love the mix of texture on my chair. it is my favorite thing this time of year with a cup of coffee & a stack of magazines...when my 2.5 year old allows me to. : )

ALSO, they are always on sale arpund and after Christmas. Happy shopping!

  11. I love these & have been wanting one too! We live in Texas so there isn't a great deal of time the weather is cooler but lucky me I always seem to be cold and cuddled under a blanket (due to the husband liking frigid temps inside)! I love the white fur throws!

  14. I just made my bed but this post makes me want to crawl right back in! I'm loving the white one personally, but you can't really go wrong with any. It's worth investing a bit if you like the gray because it's an accessory that will be seen and used for half the year!

  15. I have to tell you, I own 3 faux fur throws and have purchased all of them at Marshalls/tj maxx/homegoods. You MUST check there first because the prices are crazy like under $30! And they are sooo soft. As a matter of fact, I bought a white one almost identical to that overstock one and I swear I paid like $25 for it. I also have leopard so seriously check out the M/TJM/HG first!
