Painted Striped Rug

September 20, 2012

*Warning:  this is not a tutorial*
Alright friends so I've joined a few other bloggers in a tackling a joint DIY project over the next several weeks.
We're painting rugs.
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing or what materials I'll be using.  So you'll be watching the action live as it unfolds.
My first option is a runner for my upstairs hallway.  And all I know is that I want the final result to look something like these badass striped runners that used to be found in Amber's Shoppe.
Because they are the bomb-diggity.

My next option is to recreate a Moroccan shag rug for my living room like the one below.
So we'll see which one I end up trying to diy.  The jury is still out.
Here are the links to the other participants so you can go oogle their inspiration pictures and learn more about their plan of attack.
