Currently Obsessed: Pink Dining Rooms

April 2, 2013

I'm currently obsessed with pink dining rooms.  How about you?  My mom recently painted her very traditional dining room a deep fuchsia and it looks amazing.  I'll share pictures soon.  I like the idea of a lighter and more salmon color for myself.  I would pair it with lots of french furniture, gold accents, and floral.  Would you go this feminine in your own home?

  4. I love it. I actually have a very pale pink living room. In it I put very traditional furniture (girly) and modern art. My husband even likes it.

  5. So pretty! I adore pink, and the living room is a great place to do it. It's like a little jewel box with all the sparkle from crystal and china and candles and silverware.

  8. Some of those pictures flashed me right back to my parent's home in the late 70's and 80's when the theme was a corally pink. So fabulous!

  10. Love the pink dining room! My daughter's nursery was a fuschia pink color and while we lightened it up for her big girl room to light pink/gray/hot pink accent stripe, I miss the bright pink walls sometimes! My dining room is a very royal purple and I'm obsessed with it. It's the only room in our home that hasn't changed color more than twice. (I have a very understanding husband who doesn't mind painting ;)

  11. YESSSSS! I love this! Sadly our dining room is connected to our living room so both would have to be painted pink...and I don't know if my husband could deal with that much pink. But I want it now...thanks alot. haha

  12. Yes! I actually have a pink dining room myself. I never would have painted it that color because I'm too much of a chicken, but the previous owners picked it, and I love it! It's a bright, deep, watermelon pink, and it looks amazing with pretty much any accent color (I did porcelain blue, a springy green, and a tiny bit of yellow). The playroom/sitting room adjacent to it has chiang mai pillows that look great with the pink...I am a big believer that pink is such a flattering color as well, guests always look great with the candlelight and pink backdrop!

  16. I am with you on the lighter salmon pink...but pink dining rooms are so lovely...and isn't it the color most everyone looks good in? So I think it is a perfect choice for a dining room! Take care, Caroline

  19. If I were a single gal that might fly, but there is no way that my husband would agree to a pink dining room. I'll have to just enjoy the beautiful pictures.
