Dining Rooms: My Current Favorites

April 17, 2013

Good Morning!
I hope y'all are having a great week.  It's flying by so fast so far.  I've rounded up my current favorite dining rooms and two main themes seem to be obvious.  Light, white, and natural with French influence.  And bold, colorful, and classic with Chinoiserie influence.

What's your favorite space?
Are you more drawn to light neutrals or bold patterns and color?

One thing is certain, I need new dining room everything.  Table, chairs, buffet and gold mirror start off my list.  And we will be on a major budget so I know it will have to be collected over time.  I'm definitely in favor of a dark wood table and light chairs.  After that I'm a bit unsure.  Even if I had an unlimited budget I'm still not sure which way I'd go.

  1. For dining rooms, I am more drawn to the neutrals but can certainly appreciate the beauty in color.

  9. I love anything chinoiserie - so much so that I have to watch it and try to edit myself. Not an easy thing to do. Some gorgeous images here.

  12. Yes, yes, yes! I'm digging to room with the pink napkins. I need a new table and chairs badly too. I just can't decide what I like though. Too much pretty stuff out there and not enough funds!

  14. I love the first tow- the yellow chairs with that amazing painting in the first one just wows me! And the second is so traditional and elegant. I prefer bold and patterns- I try to steer myself toward neutrals, and yet end up with pattern and color.

  18. You have great taste! (Of course, it's the same as mine, so I am confident in saying that.) I'm going for the chinoiserie look with a dark table and light chairs in my dining room. It can be so expensive to achieve, but I am trawling antique/consignment stores and One Kings Lane to get the look for less. Good luck!
