Coral Front Door

Pretty much as soon as we bought our house in Pawleys I started thinking about painting the front door coral.  Flash forward two years and I never did.  Day one into our house in Fan with the pretty lions head door and all I could think about what how nice a coral door would look.  Never happened.  So you better believe painting our the front door in our new house is a top priority.  I realize there is a to-do list about a mile long before we can even move in so I'll have to be patient this time too.
Let's just all stare at some lucky ducks who already got their fabulous coral front door.

Don't you think this house is begging for a coral front door?  I agree.  I'm supposed to be staying home packing all weekend but I have a sneaking suspicion I might just be picking coral paint colors instead.  Keep up with me on Instagram and egg me on.  Or send me back to work on the packing if you see me slacking off.

  3. Do it! I painted my front door coral (much to the chagrin of my neighborhood association) and it makes me so happy every time I drive by. Persimmon, by Martha Stewart.

  4. I made my house tan with black shutters & roof so I could change the front door color as often as I like and lots of colors would look good with it. The first color of the front door was coral and its since been two other colors. I recieved tons of compliments on the coral - perfect amount of whimsey for an otherwise traditional house.

  8. wow, i'm usually not one for colour but these doors are jumping off my screen...you have to do it! i grew up in a traditional edwardian home with red brick, my mother used to paint the door a different colour every couple of years, i love that paint is never a huge commitment and has such a wow factor.

  10. That would be gorg with your current paint colors too so you're a lucky duck! A designer picked out a BM coral color for my powder room when we renovated our current house, but it was too loud for such a small space for my taste-it was the perfect coral tho! (We ended up going with BM Woodlawn Blue, which is still to this day my fave blue-will be in our next home for sure...whenever that may be!). Good luck packing!!

  16. Love coral doors, lusting over them myself right now, hope you get yours soon. I love all the pics of coral doors you shared so I'm fairly certain you'd pick a coral I'd love ... hope you share your color pick brand / name cause I've been going through the paint chips and don't see one that might work for me, so I'd love to check out your selection. Copying is after all the sincerest form of flattery :)

  19. Coral is something in the border of pink and red and it's not too dark nor too bright for my taste. The coral paint for your front door would be gorgeous! It'll be fabulous and stunning! :) I say, go for coral! :) Julio Wells

  20. I've read that a red front door symbolizes welcoming and is thought to bring positive energy into a home. That in mind, I think painting your door coral is a great idea. Not only will it brighten up your front porch, but will also provide great character to your home. Are you planning to keep the same door and just repaint it or get a new door altogether?

  21. Oh, I'm hoping that you pushed through with your plan of coating your front door coral. The pictures above are proof that it's a great choice of color. You have to try out different things sometimes. Going with the usual pick will kinda get your entry dull. Be cool and try a flashy color!
