I have a fabulous treat for you this morning. One of my readers emailed me a few weeks ago showing off some pictures of her little boy's nursery. My first reaction? Holy crap. I love it. I knew y'all would love it as much as I do and I immediately begged her to share more pictures.
Here's a little bit about Casey and her family and how she designed baby Grady's Nursery.
Danny and I met at Virginia Tech, and now live in an historic home
in Hamilton, Virginia with our French Bulldog, Clyde and newest addition
baby Grady. The house was built in 1890 (it was actually the old milinary, hat shop). and is full of character, but small on space when it came to the nursery.
This meant that I would have to focus on picking items that were
useful, but were charming. There was no theme in mind, I just went with
items that were mainly vintage and things that I would want to hold
onto for a long time. I work at a great antique store, Lucketts,
which really allowed me to gather things as I went along and all the
dealers were super great in keeping Grady in mind! The color is a soft
grey, which happens to be in all the bedrooms in the house. It helps
everything flow. Everything in the room is either gifted, thrifted or purchased on a budget. My biggest splurge was the crown light, which is my favorite item!

ReplyDeletelove it! and love the crown lamp and balloons!
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with those miniature hot air balloons- I first saw them in Barcelona, but didn't have luggage space for one. The ones I've found since are way more pricey :/
ReplyDeleteAdorable nursery, though- I really love the cohesiveness without an overwhelming "theme"- it seems like too often when there is a theme it goes overboard quickly, but this is gentle and pleasant and lovely!!
What a sweet nursery! I'm dying over her crown light fixture!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! We have that same mobile and a burlap banner in HDawg's nursery... great minds think alike! : )
