Snow Day!

My kids don't really like the snow.  It's too cold.  Wells would prefer to just stay under the covers until Spring.  I can't say I'm much of a cheerleader for winter sports myself.  It takes twenty minutes to get them dressed and then we stay outside for maybe half that time.  It hardly seems worth the effort.  But watching them waddle around in the winter wonderland for even just a few minutes is so magical.  There is always something exciting about snow.  And that makes it so worth it.  At least until your toes go numb.

  3. Can't believe we actually got a little snow in Charleston! It certainly wasn't as much as yours, so the kids have only really enjoyed peeling the ice off everything :-)

  6. Adorable! Your house is gorgeous. D.C. has had snow and now I am over it... mud and grossness everywhere! Trekking to metro means bundling up for 10 minutes outside. This Floridian is done. Glad to see little kids do enjoy it, though!

  8. These pictures (and memories I'm sure) were totally worth the time it took to get them ready (and soon they will be old enough to get themselves ready). Adorable pics, but yes, BRING ON SPRING!!

    1. Thanks! They're her babylegs legwarmers from when she was an infant. They still fit and look adorable. And don't worry, that's the back house with an open window not our home :)

  12. It's so true. It IS so much work, not to mention it's cold. And at this age these activities don't last long. But good for you momma for doing it. There was a moment on Wed that I thought, meh, we'll just stay inside all day I don't want to deal with it. And then I was ashamed of my selfishness and was like what the hell let's get dressed so these kids can see some freaking snow, even if it is barely there.

    Um gorgeous house. Gorgeous kids.
