Let's Chat | House of Earnest

I'm really excited to have one of my favorite bloggers here today for Let's Chat.  Erin is the author of House of Earnest.  If you're not already following along with her gorgeous DIY's and how-to's I know you will be after this post.  She has such a clean aesthetic that really resonates with me.  She demonstrates that sometimes less is more and a lack of color does not leave a space lacking.  Thank you so much for your daily inspiration Erin and for taking the time to share with us here today!

Let's get down to the nitty gritty!

Self or Space:  Are you more drawn to fashion or interior design?

It's really very equal.  I spent 7 years working in product development and design in the fashion industry, so it' comes a bit more naturally, but my passion for interiors is my focus.

Favorite room in your home
My favorite room in my house is my office.  I feel creative and inspired in there!

Favorite Designer
I really love what Christiane Lemioux does with Dwell Studio.  She has a brand that is on trend, but is still very easy to style and pair with classic pieces in our homes.

Favorite Outfit
My favorite outfit is a much harder question since it changes so regularly.  I'd say anything that is a little bit classy and a little bit edgy.  I love pairing destroyed jeans with a pair of louboutins, pearls, and a leather jacket… or some leopard flats, leather leggings and a tailored trench. 

Current Obsession
My biggest obsession has got to be gold.  I know it's everywhere right now, but I want to bring gold into the everyday home with my designs for Grandiflora.  If someone is scared of adding a little gold, starting with a brushed finish automatically softens the hue.
