Wells started pre-k today. She's nervous but ready. I couldn't be more thrilled about her teacher and her classroom. We met the teacher this past Friday and stayed for about two hours in her room. It's so neat to see her explore and learn what things she finds interesting. I can't wait to pick her up today. I've gotten so used to all of our togetherness this summer and grown quite fond of it. I'm missing my little bug already!
I thought it would be fun to do the chalkboard sign like everyone else. I think it will be really fun to add into her little scrap book. I had her stand in front of a blank chalkboard and then added the text on my computer. There is no way I could write that neat or straight or fancy!
Tagg starts tomorrow so it was nice to go with just me and my girl today for drop-off and learn the routine. It's pouring raining so I'm not really sure this afternoon will be anything special. Do you have any traditions for the first day of school? A special breakfast or dinner? Balloons or Treats? Traditions like the chalkboard sign? Please share!
What a little doll. Good luck to her! And I'm glad to hear Tagg is doing well. XO!
ReplyDeleteThe chalkboard idea is genius! I was wondering how you wrote on it !! So clever!!
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet post! We used to always go to Baskin Robbins on the first and last days of school when I was little!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! Only you could pull off something so cute! I just print a sign and stick it on a frame. I hope she has a great first day! And I'm glad Tagg is feeling better. You've been on my mind!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Wells, she's going to have the best time! And cheers to you mamma, getting back on schedule feels great.
ReplyDeleteThat is a brilliant idea about the chalkboard!! Love it and filing it away in my brain for later. I'm glad Tagg is starting to feel better and I hope Wells has a fantastic first day at school!
ReplyDeleteSo stinkin' adorable!!! What a big girl :) And love the chalkboard sign!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! And the sign is pretty cute too! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so so cute!! Wells looks so happy. I was going to say I was completely impressed with your handwriting but makes it even better that you added it via computer :) So glad Tagg is feeling better and I hope Wells had a great first day.
ReplyDeleteCute! We always have a back to school dinner. I make homemade alphabet soup and form breadsticks into their initials. I serve sparkling cider in champagne glasses. My kids look forward to it every year.
ReplyDeleteSweet picture and sweet memory! How did you add the writing to the picture? Please share! I'm so impressed!
ReplyDeleteI love this photoshopped chalkboard! Would you consider posting a basic how-to? Nothing too detailed just the steps you took and fonts you used to make it look so great! :)
