Snow Day Style

February 26, 2015

Okay so we've got another snow day here in Richmond.   I'm not sure exactly how I feel about that yet.  I literally get six hours a week sans kids, most of which is spent working so I really miss that crunch time when the kids are home.  I'm trying to stay on the positive side and focus on the sledding with friends that will begin here soon.  Lots of children in our neighborhood mean lots of fun memories on days like today.  Thankfully mine enjoy a good movie and staying warm inside so I'll be able to convince them to come inside and warm up on the sofa!  What are your favorite parts of a snowday?  I've rounded up my favorite snow day look for you!  Nothing like focusing on cute new clothes and good sales while looking at the winter wonderland outside!

  1. These snow days are killing my husband's bank account. I look outside and keep ordering more sweaters! Richmond is way colder than Texas, so I'm justifying the need to expand my wardrobe!

  3. I have to tell you that I am a Charleston born, low country loving, SC beachgirl who is now landlocked in Atlanta. I spent my Summers on the beaches of SC and school year in the outskirts of Washington DC after the age of 5. And while I dislike the cold and live for the moment I can breath pluff mud smells crossing over the bridge to IOP or Sully's some of my very fondest childhood memories involve snow days and snow adventures. I'm sure my mom got tired of us being home so much and unexpectedly but playing outside and doing what seemed like daring things on sleds and saucers are some of the greatest times of childhood and then my mom somehow always had hot chocolate on the stove in a big pot so any of our friends could come home and warm up with us. We didn't have many snow days in Atlanta while my College Girl was growing up but I embraced them all!! They are great white crisp memories!! Enjoy! Marcie

  5. All darling! I have yet to splurge on Hunter boots. I went for the duck boots and I LOVE them! Enjoy that time, I know it's get frustrating when plans change bc of stuff like this, but I've learned to shut things off and enjoy my babies. We have the rest of our lives to work ;-)
