Outdoor Dreaming

Well, we had two days of gorgeous sunshine and warm temperatures and two days of rain.  I'll still take that any day over more snow.  But even just that glimpse of sunshine has me dreaming and scheming of lazy evenings spent outside.

The reality is, our deck is in need of some repair and we don't have a screen porch that could house all of this outdoor furniture.  But a girl can dream right?  How amazing to have such a covered space filled with cozy and outdoor furniture just waiting for company or a good book and a glass of wine!

I was playing around on the Arhaus site last night after clicking on their website from another blog.  Their catalog is usually one I glance at and toss in the trash.  It's all very dark and dramatic and formal which isn't my style at all.  So I was pretty surprised to actually see a ton of light and more classic things.  There are a few companies that I feel this way about.  Their catalog presentation just doesn't speak to me at all but then I discover they have awesome stuff.  Maybe I need to be a catalog consultant. Either that or they'll tell me my style is in the minority.

*nope, not a sponsored post.  Just thought you might like to daydream with me today!

Okay so let's go.  I'll be hosting happy hour on my veraaaaanduh.  There will be lots of champagne cocktails on a silver tray and a few bites to eat of course.  These salad bites and this flatbread pizza.  I'll have hired a nanny and a magician to entertain our children in a bounce house in the back yard.  I'm going to need at least two of these outdoor sofas so we can all be sufficiently lazy.  Moon Taxi and Taylor Swift radio on pandora.  I'm sold.

  1. We have a great deck but the Hubby and I are both dreaming of the day we can screen it in and no longer have to pull cushions out of the deck boxes or brush leaves off the furniture.

    Hurry up spring!

  2. Julia, I work part-time at an Arhaus and I think you would love the store. Yes some pieces are more formal but so many great slip covered options! As a long- time reader I was so excited to see this post! And, Arhaus is family owned and most pieces are made in the US. :)

  4. I love Arhaus and all your selections too! This beautiful weather has me dreaming of our porch project and landscaping to-do list! Xo, Stephanie
