art, books & bubbly

July 13, 2012

I'm really excited about how my newest piece is shaping up.
I hope to finish it up this weekend with a few other projects I've got splayed all over the kitchen counters.  Poor Matthew, our house is always strewn with toys or my projects.
I can never seem to get them both picked up at the same time.
In other news, I've bought book 3 of both Shades of Grey and The Hunger Games.
I'm hoarding them until I have something else to move on to.
Do tell, what are we reading now?

I also plan to do a little champagney sipping tonight.
For no reason at all.
But that bubbly is a calling my name.
In truth, I have hardly really been drinking at all lately.  Since Tagg was born.  Which really means since before I was pregnant.  Nothing for maybe a few weeks?  And not sure before that.  I'm just so tired at night and quite frankly waking up is hard enough without the added head pang from too much wine.
Now that I've confessed that will y'all still be my friend?
Maybe take me out for drinks and fix this sober problem?

  2. I can remedy the sober problem asap. Drive down to Charleston for a girls night. champgy or "Champs" as Heather would say on RHOC is calling my name too. Love the painting. and please dish what you are reading next. I am still on book 2 of the Shades of Grey. A friend recommend The American Wife to me so we shall see:)

  5. Good grief woman, you nail it every time! Last night I made chicken piccata and the only thing keeping me from a glass of Chardonnay (ok, yes, aside from being pregnant) was that I knew even a little bit would have me waking up with a blaring headache. This heat doesn't help either. I've never wanted an ice cold margarita so badly before in my life!
