Five for Friday

March 28, 2014

 1.  This bedroom set up both above and below from Isabella Studio has me major swooning.  All that neutral coziness has me confidant I'm on the right path in our master bedroom.  I think we're going to need to add in a linen color to the bedding mix.

2.  This DIY kitchen hood storage has me pretty impressed.  I'm going to need M to get on that one.  They built is using an inexpensive range hood from Lowes.  I love that you get the look without the price or compromising storage.

3.  The ache.  I read this again last night for about the fourth time in as many weeks and it's so true.  How do you know when mourning no more babies is the same as wanting more?  I'm feeling so mixed on this issue.

4. Having some major discussions going on in our house lately about kitchen islands.  I'm pretty in love with this rustic look today.  I'm sure we'll go with something more classic but I can't help loving this look.

5.  I love everything about this tankini.  Sophisticated and you can still sit down and eat lunch.  Done.

  10. Thanks for sharing the article...so honest and sweet. I encourage you to pray and wait...you will know and discern the choice for your family;) I have three angels (1, 5, 8) and mourn the passing of time daily....it really is hard and the grief and the ache are real...but the joy of watching them grow is also so sweet...I am working on accepting that most of life is living w the sweet and hard and the joy and sadness....the tension...and that is what makes us fluid, growing, and real...have a great weekend! 12. Thank you for your beautiful 5 on Friday! Love the looks & reflections. All of the older women I know remind me that you never hug your children too much or regret having one. Each opened their heart & life & made it better- abit different- but blessed & better- than they could of even imagined. Bring it to prayer ;)

  13. Love that kitchen island! And that kitchen hood is amazing! Definitely bookmarking that for down the line. Young House Love also did a similar cover for their hood, here is the link if you are interested, although I prefer the look of the one above. http://www.younghouselove.com/2012/02/i-gotcha-covered/

  16. Love everything on your list this week! Wow, how can I already be experiencing the ache when my baby is just 5 weeks old?!? I guess knowing it's the last makes it so hard.

  17. LOVE the rustic island- I think having a different texture really makes a kitchen cosy and warms up white. Checking out the tankini. I'm having such trouble finding a bathing suit after baby this time.

  18. I love the bedroom look. I am craving a similar update in mine.
The baby thing is tough. I feel sad about no more babies in the house everyday but I can say with certainty that I do not actually want more. Our 5 range in age from 21 to 4 and I am sooooooo done.

  19. I'm shopping for a new bathing suit but designers seem to think that petite girls want to wear only bikinis. It makes me so mad!
