Good morning loves!
I don't know about y'all but this heat is killing me. Not so softly.
I'm not sure if it's all the excess heat and the desire for something cooler on my eyes but lately I've become obsessed with neutral linen family rooms. They look polished but still durable.
In fact, I think I might just recreate this whole room I saw last week on Cote de Texas.

Hmmm, I wonder why I'm so drawn to that.
No matter how much I love color, I always come back to these calming spaces.
I'm actually in the middle of de-coloring my living room as we speak and I'm using this trend as my inspiration.
What about y'all, does this hot weather make you crave more color inside or less?

I am very drawn to this "color" scheme as well. It is neutral, but in no way boring! Cote de Texas Rocks!!
ReplyDeleteLove the rooms! So gorg!
ReplyDeleteI am with you. LOVE this look! So much so that when governors cup is over, my living room is getting a fresh coat of paint!
ReplyDeleteThat room is gorgeous..I love soft beiges and browns..so soothing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these rooms. I am a big fan of neutrals. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your inspiration room. Those chairs are pretty ridiculous!
ReplyDeletei LOVE neutral upholstery and walls! i am so fickle with color which is why i save that for the pillows-way easier to change a pillow than it is reupholster a chair!
ReplyDeletewell Missy you know I am a Lover of all things neutral! And those last two make my heart melt!
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you. I'm wanting that look so badly I'm repainting the entire inside of my house. Actually, I'm taking a break from painting my dining room ceiling right now. Great decision on my part, you know, repainting everything halfway through a pregnancy :/ But, momma wants what momma wants!
ReplyDeleteCould not agree more. I go through phases where I love all things nuetral and then I get where I want pops of color. This heat is killing me, too hot to do anything outdoors with the babe.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love my greige
ReplyDeleteI am ALWAYS drawn to these rooms. I find them so calming and pretty. Probably because they are the antithesis of any room I'll ever get to have in my house. At least until my girls are grown and out of the house.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Julia! I have just de-colored my entire house, basically! I painted the walls of my foyer into my open kitchen/family room Ben Moore "Tapestry Beige" and it's the best thing that ever happened to me :) Unfortunately I have 2 boys, 1 dog, and 1 husband so no white upholstery for me (& no, not interested in stripping white slipcovers off & washing/bleaching all the time, either!)
ReplyDeleteI love the room with the marble fireplace in these last two pictures...it's so elegant yet liveable!
