Yes, I'm back to participate in my second One Room Challenge. You know, the one where twenty DIY and design bloggers are given one room and six weeks to show what they can do.
Can I get a whoohoo!
And a glass of wine.
Can I get a whoohoo!
And a glass of wine.
This time it could get a little crazy up in here since we're moving in May. I've been put on strict instructions not to bring anything else into this house that has to be packed up and moved in a few weeks. So let's see, nothing permanent and nothing too specific to this house and nothing too expensive.
Are you still with me?
Well you should be because y'all know I work best under pressure and I promise not to do anything lame just because my husband and my current housing situation required some silly ground rules.
Want to know which room is the lucky winner of my all encompassing attention and design skills? Me too.
I thought it would be really fun to let y'all take a VOTE and choose which room I'm going to makeover for the One Room Challenge. You have two options my lovelies. The winning room will be announced next Wednesday along with my plan of attack!
Which one do you pick?
Option # 1
Option #2
Option #2

yay! I love this challenge! Hmm I vote for the Master Bedroom, only because I could use ideas for ours!
ReplyDeleteMaster bedroom!
ReplyDeleteOkay ... I like either one ... but the leopard rug in your little one's room has me cheering it on!! xo
ReplyDeleteI have loved that master bedroom plan of yours, ever since I laid eyes on it. Can you really stick to all those silly rules your husband laid out? Can't wait to see which one wins.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the master room too. It looks so great especially love those prints on the wall.
ReplyDeleteMaster bedroom!!
ReplyDeleteLittle girl room :)
ReplyDeleteMaster bedroom, for sure!
ReplyDeleteYou owe it to yourself to create a grownup retreat. I vote master.
ReplyDeleteLittle girl room bc I am dying in love with that board!! You had me at "flamingo."
ReplyDeleteI vote little girl :) So much more fun ya know. And she'll love it which will in turn make you happiest momma ever.
ReplyDeleteI vote little girls room!
ReplyDeleteLittle girl!!! Need to see that rug!
ReplyDeleteBoth inspiration boards are great. You are very brave doing this just before moving.
ReplyDeleteI love the master bedroom but I think that little girls room is sophisticated and unique - not your typical cotton candy kid's room.
ReplyDeleteI say master so that when you move you'll have a new retreat ready to go! That board has always been one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteMmm this is a tough one, love them both! (I know I'm not helping!)
ReplyDeleteI love the little girl room! And guess what? I own that second bird print-it's one of two that I have in my family room, a great HG's find YEARS ago that I surprisingly still love (things don't usually stick around too long around here!)-I don't think my friends have ever liked them, but oh well, I do!
ReplyDeleteOooh, tough! I can't resist a little leopard ~ I vote little girl room!
ReplyDeleteI say a happy mama makes a happy home….so do your master first!! Love that wall color.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Master on this one... super chic!
ReplyDeleteI am head over heels in love with the master bedroom!
ReplyDeleteI have to say little girls room! How fun?!

Could I possibly join in on this one room challenge? I am just one coat of primer started on my kitchen overhaul, and could seriously use the deadline and motivation to get er done in 6 weeks!
ReplyDeleteoh my lord, you are DARING on many fronts...not only are you LETTING US VOTE on the room...you're also attempting this before moving in May! girlfriend, you're going to need serious wine! I absolutely love both boards! But I'll vote for the Master b/c I think you owe it to yourself to enjoy your space until may!
ReplyDeleteTough decision! I vote little girl's room. Either way I can't wait to follow along!
ReplyDeleteLittle girl's room! That mockup is ADORBS!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, what a tough decision. Both those boards are amazing! Being practical, I would say choose whichever one requires buying fewer new pieces. Boring right? If all things are equal though, I would say master. I will warn you, though, if you choose little girl's room, depending on what size you need that rug, it may be on backorder (if you already have it, then obviously not an issue). I tried to order it in a 5x8 on different online sites and they both had it on backorder from Safavieh until mid-June. Uggh. I chose a different rug because of that for my office.
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to see what you do!!
I'm kicking myself for not ordering it last fall when I would go online stalk it every day. They do have a square version still available but not sure how I feel about that...
DeleteI vote for the master bedroom. Both look like they'd be gorgeous though.
ReplyDeleteEveryone always loves a master bedroom makeover... It seems to be the most difficult room to decorate! So I vote master. Good luck to you!

the leopard rug has me and i really can't get past it, so little girl room pleeeease!!!
ReplyDeleteI vote master bedroom!!
ReplyDeleteDo them BOTH!! I know, we can't do two projects, but maybe you can show us the other room on Tuesday. Double the work is better than one- especially when you are in the midst of moving:) Bring on the jug-o-wine! xo, Kathleen
ReplyDeleteYou've been popping the same crazy pills as I have I think :)
DeleteWhich one is easier to move?!
ReplyDeleteI vote girls room. Whichever you do it will be fantastic. Both your boards are incredible!
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas for both rooms. Can't wait to see what you pick!
ReplyDeleteI vote Master Bedroom! Can't wait to see!
ReplyDeleteMaster Bedroom. Love the charcoal. Jo @ Lets Face the Music
ReplyDeleteMaster Master!! Love your concept for the Master!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE the MBR plan. We hav a valance for sale with that fabric if you want to see if it fits! Full roman operable, lined shade! Best of luck Julia, I can't wait to see which you pick and your progress...

How about BOTH??? Just kidding. I can't decide...both have beautiful personalities.
ReplyDeleteI love both -- but I vote master bedroom...only bc you created a mood board that is almost identical to what I want to do in our room! So you do it first, and I can see and copy! :)
ReplyDeleteI vote Master Bedroom - love the mood board. especially the gingham pillow. cant wait to see how it turns out!
ReplyDeletehttp://itsthelittlethingsblog.blogspot.com
one one one one one one one one one one one.
ReplyDeleteget it? i want you to pick one. lol
I vote master! I love the moody colors you are using and the pop of ikat on the bed. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

ReplyDeleteOh man hard choice- both are great spaces! I vote little girls room, its much easier to do fun thigs for a kid on the fly and who doesnt love leopard and pink.
ReplyDeleteI'd save your master for the new house when you can really plan and buy what you love :)
Oh my - how are we supposed to pick when both are equally fabulous? Gun to my head, I'm saying master bedroom. Neither will disappoint!!!
ReplyDeletewww.chattafabulous.blogspot.com
Love both!!! I choose master so you can take it with you to next house:)))
ReplyDeleteTHis is hard because they both look amazing, but let's say the master for the sake of the ORC!!! Kathysue
ReplyDeleteWhy you gotta go and show us 2 cute rooms...that I would love to see come to life!!! I love both so I am going to put it back in your court:)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I'm going to have to finish both eventually ;)
DeleteCan;t wait to see which room you decide on! Love that master paint color.
ReplyDeleteI just don't know! Both would be great! I moved b.t.w., but not to Richmond (plans fell through)...another apt in NYC. Thanks again for your advice. Can't wait to see what you do here!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the awesome flamingo print?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see!! Where did you find those pillows for the master bedroom? They are fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteOoh love them both, but I'm gonna say the master bedroom. Love it all!
ReplyDeleteI love this challenge and can't wait to see!
ReplyDeleteI vote the master bedroom. :)
Isn’t That Charming.
Love this challenge the last time...can't wait to see what happens
ReplyDeleteMaster bedroom, pllleeeaaasssee! I'm pretty sure we all have a Master bedroom, but not all of us have Little Girl's rooms. Sigh..............
ReplyDeleteI think you should do your master! Love the little girls room, too though. I designed a similar room for a friend of mine's 6 year old daughter. Can't wait to see what you choose!
ReplyDeleteThis is so hard!!! I am going to go with the master since I need some ideas for ours.
ReplyDeleteWell crap.... I was going to say the master, and then I saw your plans for Wells' room. I guess master because that's always a room I struggle with and I'd love to see your ideas.
